Over the course of many years, I have transcribed minutes and contracted for minutes to be transcribed for my associations. I have had many good people do my minutes but fortunately, I found “Minutes Solutions” who I have used for almost a year. By providing them with the agendas, Board Books, and recordings, Minutes Solutions has been able to produce my minutes in a timely manner. They have been very professional and ready to assist on any additions or corrections for what they have provided. There will always be the need to adjust here and there but Minutes Solutions has made the job easy by being very accurate with the transcription. If there is any negative at all, which is a positive, it would be they seem to put more into the documents than what may be necessary. In this case, one can always delete excess wording.
 
To conclude, any manager who is worth their weight in gold, should never do their own minutes as it takes their concentration away from the substance of the meeting. I really didn’t know what to expect when first trying Minutes Solutions. I had employed fellow managers who did minutes on the side. In any case, it seems that doing minutes from a Zoom recording is a challenge regardless. It’s difficult for the minute taker to be sure of speakers’ names and other details not verbally emphasized. Some amount of editing is always going to be needed for these types of draft minutes. I appreciate how your minute takers note where clear questions arise. I always choose to self-edit draft minutes through the process of comparing to the notes I took.
 
I will stay with Minutes Solutions as a more professional, timely and reliable source for the service.
